On March 11th 2023, Maja Osterman spoke about Story Valley at the international IATEFL Slovenia Conference in Moravske Toplice in Slovenia. Maja is an English teacher at one of our partner schools, Ljubljana Multimedia and Graphic Technology Secondary School (SMGŠ).
The International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) Slovenia Conference is an annual event that brings together English language teachers and educators from across Slovenia and beyond. The conference provides an opportunity for professionals in the field to exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss the latest developments in English language teaching.
Maja participated in the conference that lasted for four days, starting from March 9th and ending on March 12th. On Saturday, she got the opportunity to present Story Valley to the attendees. She used a slideshow containing photographs of the students and teachers involved in the project, as well as images of the partner meetings that occurred. During her presentation, Maja highlighted some of the project outcomes, including the newspaper created by SMGŠ students. Finally, she introduced the project's new website, which contains all the essential information about Story Valley and the teaching materials that are free to download for other teachers.
After the presentation, the audience had the chance to ask questions, indicating their interest in the project.
