Each year, UNESCO Cities of Literature meet in one of the cities around the world for a productive week of discussions, sharing ideas and best practices, plans for future collaborations, as well as meeting local organisations that help build a literary city. We all share the love of stories and with them, we want to make the world smaller.
This September, Story Valley came to Melbourne! Nottingham and Ljubljana presented the exciting project to the 35 delegates that attended the meeting. Many expressed the interest to take part in it, agreeing that stories of belonging and identity that come with migration are vital to understanding how our communities are shaped. So we're excited to see how many new stories will come to Story Valley!
